Google Gmail suffered very rare down time due to a bug. Google in general do not see this kind of outages, experienced a bug bringing down their services.
Hundred of millions of Gmail users affected by this bug, Google acknowledged the outage. The downtime was close to 25 minutes. Google users who use logged-in services including Gmail, Google+, Calendar and Documents found they were unable to access those services.
