Hewlett Packard is prefers new PCs with Windows 7 because it is more stable and proven OS so far. Windows 8 causing so many issues for makers, also MicroSoft plans to extend Windows 8 to different devices making it more complex to have a stable PC environment. Security is another big concern. Microsoft plans to bring PCs, mobiles and tablets together under a single big tent back firing. Many people scratching their heads. Many professionals ( not the common consumers ) will not accept security flaws. Also, imposing an interface designed for touchscreens onto a mouse-and-keyboard environment is a huge change. Well people are willing to accept the change as long as the business and professional needs are not impacted. Hope MicroSoft comes up with a middle ground solution to satisfy touch screens and PCs environment.
