N.R.Narayana Murthy,Founder and executive Chairman of Infosys is expected to focus on finding the next leader for the $7.5-billion Infosys. At Present, an internal candidates chances look bright, and more so for B G Srinivas, the companys president who has been in the reckoning for a while.Discussions on this matter are expected to start soon, and in the event the company decides to consider external candidates, the formal CEO search could begin around August. The existing CEO S D Shibulal is due to retire in March 2015. So it could be a seven-month process at least for the awaiting CEO.Global executive search firms like Korn/Ferry, Egon Zehnder, Heidrick & Struggles and Russell Reynolds will be approached to benchmark internal CEO candidates with external ones, said one source.Infosys last month elevated two of its senior most executives — B G Srinivas and U B Pravin Rao — to a new layer called president. But its for the nomination committee to decide whether it should be an internal or external candidate.
