Viber Messaging App bought by Rakuten a retail giant in Japan to reach new customer base. This acquisition give Rakuten a foothold in the mobile messaging market which will help to accelerate their marketing campaign to reach new customer base.

Rakuten has paid $900 million (€660 million) to Viber. Viber messaging app, developed by the Viber Media located in Cyprus. Viber messaging app lets smartphone users make free calls and send messages over the internet. The app has more than 300 million registered users and operates in almost 200 countries.
